In this tutorial, we are providing an overview of the Supplier Management module. Your suppliers are an extension of your quality system; therefore, managing their qualification and oversight is critical. We will walk you through how to add suppliers, manage qualifications, assess risks, and maintain ongoing oversight. Regulatory Compliance The eLeaP Supplier Management module is designed to support rigorous regulatory requirements, including ISO 9001 and 21 CFR 820.50. It provides a centralized system to manage: Supplier records and risk classifications. Audits and questionnaires. Required documentation and formal approvals. The Supplier Dashboard The dashboard provides immediate visibility into your entire supply chain. Search and Filter: Quickly find suppliers by category, status, or the internal “person in charge.” High-Risk Monitoring: Quality teams can instantly identify high-risk vendors or see which supplier activities are overdue. Audit Scheduling: The dashboard maps out when your next supplier audits are due, ensuring you never miss a compliance deadline. Adding and Qualifying a Supplier To bring a new vendor into the system: Add Supplier: Click the “Add Supplier” option and enter the supplier name. Categorization & Risk: Assign a category and a risk level (configurable based on your internal policies). Internal Ownership: Designate the internal team member responsible for managing the record. Audits & Questionnaires: Once created, you can launch supplier audits using customized templates and send out qualification questionnaires. Documentation: Store files uploaded by the supplier and maintain a record of their contacts for real-time communication. Closing the Loop To ensure a closed-loop quality process, the module includes: Internal Task Management: Assign tasks to your team regarding supplier follow-ups. Related Items: Link suppliers to specific parts, documents, or quality events within the QMS. Conclusion With eLeaP, supplier management moves from scattered spreadsheets to a structured, compliant, and visible part of your quality ecosystem. As usual, if you have any questions about these features or any other part of the system, please do not hesitate to contact us.
