Complete Quality Event Management, From First Report to Verified Resolution
From deviation capture to CAPA closure, eLeaP manages every quality event with structured phases, AI health checks, and training linkage.

The Events Management Problem: Book a Demo
A deviation gets logged. An investigation gets opened. A corrective action gets assigned. Three separate steps, three separate places — and no one can tell an auditor the full story without pulling it all together manually.
- ❌ Quality events are tracked in disconnected spreadsheets and databases
- ❌ Investigation workflows are inconsistent — findings, evidence, and corrective actions live in different places
- ❌ Root cause investigations lack consistency and depth
- ❌ Events aren’t linked to trends, leading to repeated failures
The eLeaP Solution:
eLeaP gives quality teams one place to capture, investigate, and close every quality event — audits, deviations, nonconformances, complaints, incidents, and CAPAs. Every event follows a structured workflow built from your own templates. Every investigation builds a complete audit trail. When an event identifies a training gap, you can link it directly to the training record in the LMS.
- ✅ Structured investigation with contributing factors, root cause designation, and six RCA methods
- ✅ AI Health Check scores each event from 0 to 100 and lists the gaps to close
- ✅ Automatic triage that recommends a disposition, and escalates repeat events to CAPA
- ✅ Real-time reporting on event types, root causes, and recurrence

One System for Every Quality Event
eLeaP Events Management handles audits, deviations, nonconformances, customer complaints, incidents, and CAPAs in one place — each following a structured workflow with built-in investigation tools and phase-by-phase documentation. When an event is closed, the audit trail is complete.
At the core of eLeaP QMS is the Events Management module — a single system where every quality event, regardless of type, follows a structured workflow from initial capture through investigation, corrective action, and verified closure. Templates you configure, built-in investigation tools, triage rules, and AI-assisted quality scoring mean every decision is documented and nothing falls through the cracks.
Key Features
-
Universal Event Capture
Log any quality event from a single interface using templates that set the event type and workflow phases. Capture the risk at creation with probability and severity assessments, then add owner, due date, and tags. Administrators can generate a complete template with AI from a plain-language description, then refine it.
-
Templates You Control
Each template defines its own phases, sections, and form fields, including mandatory fields and embedded task lists. Set completion gates so a phase cannot close until minimum contributing factors, a designated root cause, completed RCA methods, evidence, and verified actions are in place. Sync template changes to events already in progress.
-
Automatic Triage
Rules evaluate each new event and recommend a disposition: No Action, Correction, A3 Investigation, CAPA, or Escalate. Qualified users can override with a recorded justification, and every override stays in the audit trail. If the same type of event recurs, eLeaP escalates to CAPA automatically, three occurrences in 180 days by default.
-
Structured Investigation
Record contributing factors across People, Process, Equipment, Material, Environment, and Measurement, and designate one or more as root cause. Capture the analysis itself using 5-Why, Fishbone, Fault Tree Analysis, Failure Mode Analysis, Kepner-Tregoe, or another method, with completion tracked for each.
-
Corrective, Preventive, and Containment Actions
Every action has a type, owner, due date, and status that moves from Open through In Progress and Implemented to Verified, with the verifier and timestamp recorded. Attach evidence files, flag actions that need training first, and use AI Suggest for draft actions. Overdue actions are flagged for administrators.
-
AI Health Check
Run an AI assessment of any event for a score from 0 to 100, a plain-English summary, documented strengths, and specific gaps with a recommended next step. It reviews investigation quality, action quality, phase completeness, timeliness, documentation, and effectiveness readiness, and it refreshes as the event improves.
-
Phase Review and Approval
Assign reviewers and approvers to each phase with day limits, so sign-offs are notified, timed, and recorded within the event.
-
Effectiveness Checks
For CAPA events, assign an owner and a scheduled date, record the outcome, and confirm whether the problem recurred. The check is part of the event record before it closes.
-
Trend Analysis and Reporting
The Events Reports Summary tracks total events, overdue CAPAs and actions, average time to close, CAPA effectiveness, events linked to high risks, and recurring root causes. Break results down by event type over time, department, product, and supplier, and filter by period, owner, tag, or root cause text.
What You Get with eLeaP Events Management
-
Connected to the Rest of Your Quality System
Link events to documents, risk items, change requests, suppliers, and training records using Related Items, at the event level and at the individual phase level. An action that involved a training gap links straight to the training record in the LMS.
-
Your Queue, Your Filters
My Events shows your tasks, events to review and approve, and new comments or changes on events you own. Filter by status, tag, owner, type, overdue, and date ranges, save filter presets, and export the filtered list to CSV or PDF.
-
Management and Quality Reviews
Schedule and record meetings in the same module, including management reviews, quality reviews, and design reviews, with attendance tracked and each meeting linked to its audit when relevant.
-
Audits and Findings
Run internal and supplier audits from the same module, with findings, scoring, and corrective actions linked to full CAPA events. See audit management.
-
Risk Captured Up Front
Every event records probability and severity when it is created, and the Summary page highlights events linked to high-severity risks. Learn more about risk management.
-
Connect Other Systems
Read events and CAPAs, and raise new draft events, from other systems through the eLeaP API with token-based access scoped to what each service needs. Review and approval stay with a named person.
Why Select eLeaP Quality?
eLeaP Events Management is built for regulated industries — pharmaceutical, medical device, biotech, manufacturing, and beyond. When an event identifies a training gap, you link it directly to the training record in the training module. When an event requires a document revision, Change Control is already connected. One investigation. One audit trail. One system.
-
Every event. One structured workflow.
-
Identify trends before they become repeat findings.
-
Complete audit trail from first report to verified CAPA closure.
-
Training gaps linked directly to the LMS record.
Proven Benefits:
-
Consistent Event Resolution
Templates, phase owners, due dates, and completion gates move every event through the same structure from capture to verified closure.
-
Fewer Repeat Findings
Designated root causes, recorded RCA methods, and recurrence detection mean each investigation identifies why an event happened, not just what was fixed. Reporting surfaces recurring root causes across events.
-
Inspection-Ready Documentation
Every decision, approval, and action is documented in the audit trail. When an inspector asks for the history of an event, you pull it up — you don’t assemble it.
-
Cross-Module Traceability
Events connect to documents, change records, risk assessments, supplier records, and training records.
-
Stronger Supplier Oversight
Break events down by supplier and link them to supplier records, so objective event history informs supplier reviews.
-
Risk-Informed Decision Making
Use event risk and root cause data to update risk assessments and spot emerging hazards earlier.
eLeaP Events Management including audit management, is trusted by organizations across pharmaceutical, medical device, biotech, manufacturing, and aerospace industries to keep quality events from becoming audit findings. Start your free trial below or schedule a demo today.

Events Management FAQs
-
What types of events can I manage?
Any event type you configure through templates, such as deviations, nonconformances, complaints, incidents, and CAPAs. Audits are managed in the same module.
-
Do all events follow the same phases?
No. Each template defines its own phases, order, and fields, so a simple correction and a full CAPA can follow different workflows.
-
How does triage decide what an event needs?
Rules check fields such as event type, risk level, and severity, and recommend a disposition. You can override it with a justification, and the change is recorded. Repeat events escalate to CAPA automatically.
-
Which root cause methods are supported?
5-Why, Fishbone (Ishikawa), Fault Tree Analysis, Failure Mode Analysis, Kepner-Tregoe, and an option for any other method you document.
-
How are CAPAs verified as effective?
Each CAPA event can carry an effectiveness check with an owner, a scheduled date, and a recorded outcome. See CAPA management.
